Almorah House which was our own personal project, demanded significant attention and effort. Initially planned as a moderate refurb the project took an unexpected turn when we encountered structural issues, rotten ground floor joists and substandard lintels. To address these challenges, we decided to strip the house back to brick, essentially starting from scratch.
Throughout the project, we also carried out substantial structural modifications, this involved removing internal load barring granite walls, replacing with concrete goal posts, ground beams which provided contemporary open plan living.
Almorah House reflects the resilience and adaptability of our team in the face of unexpected challenges. While the journey was far from straightforward, we take pride in the final result, which represents our commitment to overcoming obstacles and delivery.
